Two COOJA plugins and manuals have been published to integrate the TWIST testbed in COOJA and to take checkpoints and perform rollbacks both in TWIST and COOJA.

Integration Activities

In Y3 we have also started designing system abstractions and early prototypes for a RESTful testbed control API for experiments involving robotic platforms running the Robot Operating System (ROS). The goal of these extensions is to facilitate the experimentation with controlled and repeatable mobility via the CONET Testbed Federation APIs.  In our work we leverage a custom low-cost platform comprised of a iRobot Roomba base and a Microsoft Kinect sensor.

Our activities target those Cooperating Objects testing scenarios in which the researchers need a reliable and convenient node mobility service, but are not directly interested in experimenting with the complex underlying robotics software. In this, we are complementing the activities in the Integrated Testbed task, which target robotics research and provide access to the robotic software stack used in the testbed at a much lower level of asbtraction.
